Reports to : General Manager, Small Law Firms (SLF)

Location : Remote TR Hub Preferred : Minneapolis, Dallas, Toronto, Ann Arbor

About the Role :

The VP, Sales – Small Law builds strategy and leads a team of sales leaders and sales executives to achieve sales and revenue growth. Success is achieved through driving performance accountability within the team and effective partnership with Small Law Firms’ leadership, central support and marketing functions, and the broader enterprise.

As the Vice President of Sales, you will :

  • Create and execute strategic initiatives by mobilizing and leading a team of sales leaders and team of roughly 160 sales professionals (field and virtual based) to acquire and optimize sales and renewal opportunities for $85M sales channel
  • Deliver financial and strategic objectives for the sub-segment (e.g. gross sales [PY growth]); growth through cross-sell / up-sell, net new customer acquisitions, and pricing and value capture
  • Closely manages sales and renewal pipeline health and development, with clear metrics and accountabilities, and brings rigorous sales process and coaching to create sales excellence
  • Collaborates with the SLF Sales Leadership, Commercial Excellence and Sales Operations, segment commercial owners and marketing in management and execution of plans
  • Strategic partnership with Client Management team as well as utilization of range of digital enablement tools (eCommerce and customer management technology) to drive productivity, coverage, and growth

About You

You're a fit for the role of Vice President of Sales if your background includes :

  • 10+ years’ experience in sales leadership of similar size and scope (75+ employees, high volume $50M+ sales quota per year)
  • 5+ years’ experience in direct client relationship management; experience in a digital marketing business preferred
  • Committed to building a performance-driven culture of accountability, transparency and accessibility
  • Strategic thinking skills; effective account planning, sales negotiation and closing skills
  • Experience leading and supporting large, strategic business change
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, rapidly changing technology environment, and to complete multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ambitious self-starter with high energy and motivation
  • Knowledge of legal markets, legal information needs and online legal products a plus
  • Able to travel to customer location
