Position Description

Cooledge is seeking an independent and highly operational finance leader to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and management team. This role oversees all financial aspects of the company, including planning, analysis, decision-making, and risk management.

Key Objectives / Responsibilities
  1. Provide Organizational Leadership: Lead your team and support the CEO in maintaining a high-functioning management team.
  2. Financial Strategy and Planning: Contribute to strategic planning, own the budgeting process, and develop long-term financial models.
  3. Oversee Financial Reporting and Analysis: Manage financial performance, reporting, and compliance.
  4. Execute Capital Strategy: Support future financing, acquisitions, and partnership strategies.
  5. Optimize Tax Strategy: Ensure compliance and effectiveness of tax strategies across jurisdictions.
  6. Create and Monitor Internal Controls: Lead internal controls, systems, and reporting processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  7. Additional responsibilities include: Building trusting relationships with leadership, leading financial decision-making, managing the finance team, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, managing treasury functions, and external relationships, and leading process improvements.
Candidate Profile

Experience: 5-10 years as VP of Finance or senior finance leader in a high-tech, electronics, or construction industry with international supply chains. Proven track record in high-growth environments, supporting mergers and acquisitions, managing international tax, and working with capital providers.

Leadership Attributes: Resourceful, passionate, aligned with organizational goals, hands-on, collaborative, open communicator, high integrity, culturally aware, and willing to travel.

Education

Professional accounting designation, preferably with an MBA or Master’s in Finance or Accounting.
