As the Vice President, IT & Transformation, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of technology operations, digital innovation and transformation initiatives at Bridgewater Bank. You will contribute to the strategic plan and act as part of the organization’s executive team, ensuring a robust technological infrastructure and proactive alignment with organizational growth goals.

WHAT MOVES YOU

  • You’re driven by a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • You’re not one to make snap judgments - you look at an issue from all angles before making a decision.
  • No one has to light a fire under you. Not only are you always ready to take the initiative, you’re adept at managing multiple tasks and deadlines successfully.
  • Your excellent communication skills make it easy for you to connect with and support others.
  • You’re a natural leader who enjoys working with a variety of people.
  • You are adept at finding solutions to business problems and designing efficient and effective processes.
  • You’re eager to use your IT knowledge, strong analytical mind, and problem-solving skills to contribute to the organization.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Technology Leadership & Operations: Provide strategic oversight for the bank’s technology infrastructure, ensuring stable, secure, and efficient operational environments. Build, lead, motivate, and empower the IT and Transformation team to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Digital & Transformation Initiatives: Champion digital transformation strategies that support the bank’s growth ambitions, enhancing digital customer experiences, and operational efficiencies. Oversee major transformational projects, ensuring alignment with the strategic vision, timely delivery, and measurable outcomes.
  • Security & Risk Management: Collaborate closely with AMA Association technology and cybersecurity teams to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide security standards, policies, and best practices. Oversee risk assessments, compliance initiatives, and internal audits related to IT.
  • Enterprise Project & Portfolio Management: Represent the bank in joint enterprise project and portfolio management committees, collaborating with the Alberta Motor Association (AMA) on strategic IT projects. Ensure clear and effective project governance frameworks are established and adhered to.
  • Stakeholder & AMA Association Collaboration: Act as a strategic liaison with the AMA, proactively collaborating on enterprise initiatives, shared technological services, and strategic investment priorities. Foster strong, collaborative relationships across leadership teams.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

  • You have a post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

  • You have extensive experience leading technology teams, managing large-scale enterprise projects, and delivering successful digital transformation initiatives.
  • You have proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior executives, external stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • You’ve worked in dynamic Agile environments following Scrum and SAFe frameworks.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of regulatory environments and cybersecurity best practices, within the Canadian financial services industry would be an asset.

WHAT YOU’LL GET
