Summary Of Position

Our client seeks an experienced Project Director to lead their expansion in Calgary. The role involves managing projects, growing the firm's presence, building client relationships, and driving business development. Support includes business development coaching, collaboration with partners, and opportunities for career advancement. This is a unique opportunity for career growth!

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the strategic plan for launching and growing the Calgary office.
• Lead architectural project teams to deliver high-quality design solutions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to drive project progress.
• Oversee the preparation of drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Mentor and guide junior staff.
• Represent the firm at meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
• Collaborate with partners on local business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field.
• Professional Alberta Architectural license required (AAA).
• 10+ years of experience in architectural project management.
• Experience with commercial and industrial projects preferred.
• Strong local market network in Calgary and proven business development skills.
• Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
• Knowledge of Alberta building codes and regulations.
• Experience in establishing or growing a team or office is a plus.
