Kanata Animal Hospital in Kanata, Ontario is seeking a customer service-focused Veterinary Reception, Client Care to join our team. This full-time role ensures clients and their pets feel welcomed, cared for, and appreciated, while supporting the veterinary staff with daily tasks.

You will manage a multiline phone system, schedule appointments, handle emails, admission and discharge patients, and assist with billing and invoicing.

• Assisting veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments when required
• Answer a multiline phone system and book appointments effectively
• Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and bookings
• Respond to and manage email correspondence with clients and referring veterinarians
• Admitting and discharging pet patients
• Invoicing and billing; creating estimates and processing payments
• Scheduling appointments
• Excellent customer service and welcoming presence
• Strong organizational skills
• General housekeeping of reception and pet holding areas
• Willingness to learn more about veterinary services

Compensation: $17.85 to $25.00 depending on experience

Kanata Animal Hospital is currently welcoming a customer service-focused Veterinary Reception, Client Care to join our team. This full-time opportunity includes a range of responsibilities that directly attributes to the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital. Your primary responsibility is to ensure our clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for, and appreciated!

• Create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents

• Assisting veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments when required

• Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively

• Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings

• Respond to and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages

• Admitting and discharging pet patients

• Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments

• Scheduling appointments

• Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment

• Strong organizational skills

• General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas and common areas

• Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
