Job summary

CENTURY PARK VETERINARY SERVICES INC in Edmonton, AB is seeking a licensed veterinarian for full-time on-site work at our veterinary clinic. The role involves diagnosing, treating, vaccinating, and advising clients, with 40 hours per week and shifts including evenings, mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds and flocks through physical examinations or laboratory tests
  • Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds or performing surgery
  • Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases
  • Advise clients on feeding, housing, behaviour, breeding, hygiene and general care of animals
  • Perform routine, emergency and post-mortem examinations
  • Provide a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, dentistry and euthanasia
  • Supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers
Qualifications

Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry.

Area of work experience: Veterinary.

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Certification; Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.

Supervision

1 to 2 people.
