Guardian Veterinary Hospital in Edmonton, AB is seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join our team. We deliver advanced emergency and specialty care in a large state-of-the-art facility, collaborating with board-certified specialists in Internal Medicine and Surgery.

You will oversee urgent cases, mentor staff, and work with a supportive team to ensure exceptional patient care and client service. Alberta-licensed veterinarians with emergency experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Internship trained preferred OR 2 years of direct working experience in an emergency or urgent care.
• Strong diagnostic, surgical and emergency care skills.
• Strong organizational skills, which allow you to stay focused and work under pressure.
• Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Eligible to be licensed in the province of Alberta.
• Capable of multi‑case management per shift.
• Willing to actively manage and treat in‑house patients during quieter periods between emergency cases.
• Will collaborate and mentor junior staff through hands‑on learning and during team meetings in a constructive and caring manner.
• Will collaborate with specialists to ensure patient care is the top priority.
