Job summary

SYSTRA Canada is seeking a V&V Lead for Transit Projects in Ontario to guide verification and validation activities across rail and transit solutions. You will develop the V&V Strategy and Master Plan, define methods, coordinate test procedures and artefacts, track execution and manage findings, and contribute to safety case and acceptance documentation.

Formal requirements include a University degree in Engineering with 10+ years in V&V, testing or commissioning, plus P.Eng in Ontario; this

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering is required.
• 10+ years in verification & validation, testing and commissioning for rail/transit systems.
• Strong knowledge of V&V planning, test methods, evidence management and defect resolution.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders during system testing and acceptance.
• P.Eng in Ontario or equivalent is preferred; professional training in V&V or testing considered an asset.

• Define V&V methods and evidence requirements for each level of requirements;
• Coordinate preparation of test procedures, inspection plans and other V&V artefacts;

Profile/Skills

• University degree in Engineering;
• 10+ years’ experience in verification & validation, testing and commissioning or assurance for rail / transit systems;
• Strong knowledge of V&V planning, test methods, evidence management and defect resolution;
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders during system testing and acceptance.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario or equivalent;
• Formal training in verification & validation and/or testing/commissioning (CENELEC EN 50126/8/9 or similar) considered an asset
