Job summary

The City of Laval is seeking a permanent Electronics Technician to perform layout, installation, and maintenance of specialized emergency equipment for police and other services. You will diagnose issues across various vehicles and ensure standardization of equipment.

A DEP in electronics or related field is required with about 1 year of relevant experience. Work is in Laval with a day schedule, competitive benefits, and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• DEP in electronics, electromechanics, or electricity.
• At least 12 months of relevant experience in layout, installation, repair, and maintenance of specialized emergency equipment for various emergency vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout, installation, repair, and maintenance of communication, emergency, and other specialized equipment for police use.

The challenges that await you

Perform various technical tasks involving the layout, installation, repair, and maintenance of communication, emergency, and other specialized equipment for police use.

Identify and solve problems specific to different types of vehicles and equipment in order to achieve standardization.

The ideal profile for us

• Hold a diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in the field of electronics, electromechanics, or electricity;
• Have twelve (12) months of relevant experience in the role, including the layout, installation, repair, and maintenance of specialized emergency equipment for various types of emergency vehicles.
