Job summary

LeMarché, Inc. in Laval seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead studies on ventilation, heating, plumbing and air conditioning for city buildings. You coordinate between project owners and management, ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates hold a mechanical engineering degree, are Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec members, with six years of relevant experience. PMP is an asset; SST training and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate studies and analyses of ventilation, heating, plumbing, air conditioning, and refrigeration projects for City buildings.
• Coordinate technical and administrative links between project owners and Service management; liaison with stakeholders.
• Seal plans and specifications in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

STATUS: Temporary

SALARY: Class 11 – from $95,439.65 to $125,540.32 / year

SCHEDULE: 33.75 hours per week, DAY; MONDAY to FRIDAY - 08:30 to 16:30

WORK MODE: Hybrid

WORK LOCATION: 2550, boulevard Industriel, 2nd floor, Laval, H7S 2G7

The challenges that await you

You perform and coordinate studies and analyses of projects related to ventilation, heating, plumbing, air conditioning, and refrigeration of the City’s buildings. Additionally, for certain tasks, you are responsible for sealing plans and specifications in accordance with the provisions, laws, and regulations of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

You collaborate in the implementation and execution of work carried out under contract, in management, and in administration. To this end, you coordinate and ensure the technical and administrative link between the project owner and the Service management. You provide applicants with all relevant information regarding your area of expertise.

The ideal profile for us

• Hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering;
• Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
• Have six (6) years of relevant experience in the function, particularly:
  • In all phases of project development and work: needs assessment, scope establishment, preparation of estimates and schedules, providing comments related to mechanical design, coordination with various stakeholders, monitoring and inspection of work during execution, training and knowledge transfer to the operator;
  • In energy conservation and energy efficiency;
  • In the construction of eco-responsible LEED buildings, integrated design, and energy-saving systems;
  • In technical advice and follow-ups.
• Possess a PMP certificate, an asset;
• Have safety training for construction sites (SST);
• Have a valid driver's license and access to a car.
