Ideal candidates bring 5+ years IV therapy and central venous access experience, CNO registration, BCLS, and ACLS certifications.

Qualifikationen

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Nurse
• Current BCLS certificate required
• BScN preferred
• ACLS certificate preferred
• Advanced IV therapy initiation – minimum 5 years
• Experience with care of central venous access devices
• Experience inserting PICC preferred
• CVAA certification preferred
• Demonstrates clinical leadership and collaboration in fast-paced settings
• Proven patient and family focused care within RN scope

Aufgaben

• Provides patient and family focused care within the RN scope of practice
• Functions in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
• Ensures practice aligns with entry to practice competencies and guidelines
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and interprofessional team
• Collaborates with healthcare team for patients with complex health issues
• Contributes to assessment and documentation of patient health status
• Assists in Plan of Care development and evaluation
• Provides consultation and clinical support to peers as needed
• Supports orientation/preceptorship of new staff
• Models safe, evidence-based practices and efficient resource use
• Participates in clinical pathways development and evaluation
