Job summary

Southlake Health in Newmarket, ON is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary, part-time position to support the acute medical unit. The RN will model clinical excellence per CNO standards and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include current CNO licensure, BCLS, oncology experience, IV therapy with CVAD, and strong assessment and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with CNO standing and current licensure.
• Current BCLS certification required.
• BScN degree preferred; ACLS preferred.
• At least 1 year of oncology/ cancer unit experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to diverse acute medical patients in a fast-paced setting.
• Collaborate with the interprofessional team to plan and deliver care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Contribute to Plan of Care development and evaluation.
• Assist in orientation/preceptorship of new staff and students.
