Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Southlake Health in Newmarket Ontario will provide high-quality care to a diverse medical population within a fast-paced acute setting. This part-time, permanent role supports an interdisciplinary team and adheres to CNO standards to optimize patient flow and safety.

Qualifications

• RN in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Current BCLS certificate required.
• BScN preferred.
• Three to five years’ recent critical care nursing experience or Critical Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Functions according to hospital policies and procedures including emergency codes.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and healthcare team.
• Provides care for complex health issues in a fast-paced setting.
• Leads in coordination of patient care and supports orientation/preceptorship of staff.
