Job summary

Victaulic, located in Brampton, ON, is seeking an Assembler (Machine Shop) to join our day and afternoon shifts. The role focuses on assembling, testing, and packaging valve assemblies to meet customer specifications within a lean manufacturing environment.

This position requires 3–5 years of mechanical assembly experience, ability to read drawings, use measurement tools, and lift up to 50 lbs. Crane training is a plus; competitive hourly pay listed below.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a mechanical assembly environment.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings and follow engineering instructions.
• Experience using measuring equipment, including vernier calipers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Crane training is an asset.
• Proficiency with general assembly tools such as impact guns and torque wrenches.

Responsibilities

• Select proper components for assembly.
• Assemble components according to customer specifications and engineering instructions.
• Perform testing of assembled valves and maintain accurate records.
• Package assembled valves for shipping.
• Follow standard work practices, method sheets, and instructions.
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to Lean Manufacturing processes and FEM requirements.
• Report damages or malfunctions of equipment and tools to the supervisor.
• Use appropriate safety equipment at all times.
• Adhere to company policies and safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
