Mountain Community in Alberta is seeking an experienced Utility Project Manager to lead critical water and wastewater capital projects from planning through closeout. You will coordinate internal teams, consultants, contractors, and regulators to ensure safe, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline or a CET designation with relevant experience.
• Experience delivering capital infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, procurement, and delivery of utility capital projects.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, resources, and deliverables.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, technical specialists, and third-party project managers.
• Oversee construction activities, inspections, quality, safety, and compliance.
• Prepare and evaluate tenders, proposals, and procurement documents.
• Administer contracts and manage changes to project scope and budget.
• Support annual and long-term capital planning.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical agreements.
• Liaise with provincial regulators regarding approvals and facility upgrades.
• Provide clear project updates, financial reporting, and recommendations to leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, sustainability, and infrastructure performance.
