Job summary

Wheatland County is seeking a Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver municipal water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure projects. You will act as the County’s representative on design and construction projects and coordinate with internal staff, consultants, and contractors.

The ideal candidate has strong planning and scheduling skills, experience with public engagements, and a valid Alberta driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience managing municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Designated P.Eng. or equivalent preferred; Alberta registration beneficial.
• Strong communication, planning and scheduling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procurement documents for services and goods.
• Coordinate design, pre-bid, public engagements, site reviews and preconstruction meetings.
• Monitor project schedule and report progress to management.
• Work with GIS to locate assets and support planning.
• Ensure OH&S compliance and safe work practices.
• Resolve conflicts with a solution-focused approach.
• Assist with Transportation and Utility Asset Management Plans.
