Job summary

The City of Selkirk is seeking a Manager of Utilities to lead the operation and maintenance of the water treatment, wastewater treatment, water distribution, wastewater collection, and land drainage networks.

Under the Director of Operations, you will drive safety, budgeting, policy development, and strategic initiatives while directing staff and contractors to deliver reliable public services to our community.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people development within the division.
• Experience with budgeting, procurement and policy applications.
• Strong oversight of utilities operations and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Establish annual goals for the division and mentor staff.
• Develop policies and reports to improve service delivery.
• Oversee water/wastewater facilities and networks.
• Prepare operating budgets and control expenditures.
• Ensure citizen service excellence and inter-department collaboration.
• Act in emergency management and safety program compliance.
• Maintain assets and capital project oversight.
• Coordinate climate action and environmental stewardship.
