Job summary

Murray Chevrolet Cadillac Lethbridge is seeking an experienced Used Car Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. You will diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles for resale, and you will perform Certified and AMVIC inspections on dealership-owned used vehicles.

This role requires strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, the ability to work independently, and clear communication in English. Alberta-class licensing and alignment with safety standards are expected, with ongoing training

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
• Journeyman Automotive Service Technician certification is an asset but not required.
• AMVIC inspection experience is an asset.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License.
• Basic computer skills is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Certified and AMVIC inspections on dealership-owned used vehicles.
• Complete repairs approved as a result of inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
• Perform vehicle repairs and reconditioning efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure all repairs meet high standards and verify the effectiveness of work performed.
• Clearly document inspection findings and recommended repairs.
• Complete repair orders accurately and in accordance with dealership policies and applicable requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work collaboratively with the Used Vehicle and Service teams to ensure vehicles are ready for sale.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Education and Experience:

• Previous experience as anAutomotive Technician, Automotive Mechanic, or in a similar role isrequired.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic,and troubleshooting skills.
• Previous experience performingvehicle inspections is an asset.
• Journeyman Automotive ServiceTechnician certification is considered an asset but is not required.
• AMVIC inspection experience is anasset.
• Ability to work independently andefficiently.
• Ability to read, write, andcommunicate effectively in English.
• Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver'sLicense required.
• Basic computer skills arerequired.
