Job summary

Premier Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC in Windsor, ON is seeking a Licensed Automotive Technician to diagnose, test and repair vehicle systems, ensuring safety and reliability. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspect critical components and mentor apprentices in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Ideal candidates are fully licensed (310S Journeyman), with strong knowledge across makes/models, excellent communication, and a solid work ethic.

Qualifications

• Must-have: fully licensed 310S Journeyman Technician.
• Red Seal certification is an asset.
• Completion of a related post-secondary program or training.
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and safe driving history.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, test and repair vehicle systems to ensure safety and functionality.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspect critical components (brakes, fuel systems, engines).
• Mentor apprentices and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
• Communicate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage repairs, cycle times and customer communication.
• Document all work on the repair order following OEM standards, including warranty work.

Your area offocus.

As anAutomotive Technician, your primary responsibilities include diagnosing,testing, and repairing vehicle systems to ensure their security andfunctionality, using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment. You'll conductpreventative maintenance, inspect critical vehicle components such as brakes,fuel systems, and engines, and repair or replace parts as needed. In addition,you'll mentor apprentices and maintain a safe and efficient workenvironment.

Whatdrives your day-to-day?

• Performing vehicle repairs and/or maintenance work as outlined on RO with efficiency and accuracy, performing all duties in accordance with dealership and OEM standards
• Communicating with Parts and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production/repairs, cycle times and customer communication
• Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations for repairs while ensuring the safety and reliability of any vehicle that has been repaired prior to them being returned to the customer
• Document all work performed on the vehicle RO by creating a story in the on the associated repair order, in a manner consistent with OEM standards, ensuring payment of warranty work is provided by the manufacturer
• Maintain an inventory of common automotive technician's tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as a "store-provided" piece of equipment
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes as required
• Providing an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty and department revenue

• Fully licensed 310S Journeyman Technician certificate is required for this role
• Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset
• Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses

• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
