Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Class 1 commercial driver's license with at least 4 years of safe tractor-trailer driving experience in North America.
• Clean driving record and criminal background check.
• Eligibility to obtain FAST card and cross-border access.
• Familiarity with satellite navigation systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work varying shifts.
• Strong communication, work ethic, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Run Linehaul between the Maritimes, United States eastern seaboard, and Ontario/Quebec.
• Deliver freight to assigned locations timely.
• Unload and handle freight safely and with proper equipment.
• Communicate efficiently with dispatch and customers.
• Operate tractor-trailer following safety regulations and company rules.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Report incidents promptly.
• Willingness to work linehaul legs into the United States (NY, NJ).

Midland Transport Limited currently seeking professional Class 1 Linehaul Truck Driver. The Driver can be based out of Dartmouth, Truro, Sydney, Kentville, and Bridgewater, NS.

As a Linehaul Driver, you'll run longhaul routes from Ontario, U.S. Eastern Seaboard, and through the Maritimes back through Ontario/Quebec while consistently following company procedures and maintaining high safety standards.

Schedule: Run starts Sunday, takes around five days to complete.

Responsibilities

• Running Linehaul between the Maritimes, United States eastern seaboard, and Ontario/Quebec.
• Deliver freight to assigned locationsensuring timely delivery.
• Offload variable shipment weight and handle freight equipment properly and in a safe manner to avoid any damage.
• Communicate efficiently with the central dispatch and customers.
• Operate the tractor trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation.
• Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner.
• Willingness to work linehaul legs into the United States, including New York and New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Education Required: High School or GED.
• Class1 driver’s license with a minimum of 4 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America required.
• Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search.
• Eligibility to receive a FAST card.
• Eligibility to cross the border with US.
• Familiarity with satellite systems.
• Excellent communication skills, work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment.
• Safety conscious.
• Must have flexibility to work various shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends
