Job summary

ISG Search Inc. in Toronto seeks a Tax and Partnerships Lead to head the Canadian and US tax functions, focusing on US partnership tax. You will oversee compliance, engage external advisers, and partner with internal finance teams to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires strong US partnership tax experience, manager-level or higher, CPA preferred or Enrolled Agent considered. Office-based with limited work-from-home flexibility and a discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• Strong US partnership tax experience with compliance and review responsibilities.
• Experience in managing multi-entity tax filings and coordinating with external advisers.
• Ability to communicate complex tax issues to senior leadership clearly.
• Experience at Manager level or above, ideally in a public accounting firm.

Responsibilities

• Oversee US and Canadian tax compliance across multiple entities, including complex US partnerships.
• Review returns and schedules, identify discrepancies and resolve questions.
• Manage compliance calendars, information requests, filing approvals and tax payments.
• Coordinate with accounting and financial reporting teams to gather accurate information.
• Lead status meetings and coordinate with stakeholders to meet deadlines.
• Provide cross-border tax advice on withholding and nonresident partner issues.
