Job summary

The North York-based accounting firm seeks a U.S. Tax Manager to join a full-time team focused on U.S. taxation for personal and business returns. This role emphasizes technical oversight, quality control, and client service, with collaboration across staff and leadership.

Based in Canada, you will handle U.S. tax matters, guide junior reviewers, and support the growth of the U.S. tax practice while ensuring timely delivery of engagements.

Qualifications

• Strong U.S. taxation experience in a public accounting setting.
• Experience reviewing U.S. personal and corporate tax returns.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and mentoring to staff.

Responsibilities

• Review U.S. personal income tax returns (Form 1040) and corporate returns.
• Review Forms 1120, 1120-S, and 1065 and supervise staff.
• Provide technical oversight and resolve complex U.S. tax issues.
• Mentor and support junior staff and manage workflow across U.S. engagements.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
