Role Overview

We seek a Director to lead coverage of the Retail & Consumer sector within our North American Corporates Group. The position offers the chance to be a lead analyst at a global rating agency, working with diverse teams and clients worldwide.

Responsibilities

1. Analyze credit quality factors for Retail & Consumer companies.
2. Develop and maintain financial models.
3. Engage with industry management teams.
4. Present analyses to credit rating committees.
5. Communicate rating rationales to external stakeholders.
6. Write research reports on topical issues.
7. Evaluate other credits within and outside the sector.
8. Represent Fitch at industry events.
9. Mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• CFA / CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, including sector coverage or knowledge.
• Experience in capital markets or credit analysis is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively.
