Job summary

Sienna Senior Living's Aspira Wildpine Retirement Living in Ottawa is seeking an Unregulated Care Provider for night shifts. You will deliver compassionate care to residents, support health and safety, and contribute to a respectful, home-like environment.

The role emphasizes documentation, medication administration, infection control, and teamwork with wellness staff. Successful applicants will have a Personal Service Worker certificate, Medication Administration training, CPR, and be eligible

Qualifications

• Completion of Personal Service Worker certificate and Medication Administration training.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must pass Vulnerable Sector Check and be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Experience working with seniors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high‑quality care supporting residents’ health, safety, and wellbeing.
• Administer medications as prescribed and report changes to the Director of Wellness.
• Maintain resident records in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment with infection control practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As an Unregulated Care Provider, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care that supports residents’ health, safety, and overall well-being. • Administering medications as prescribed and observes changes in condition and reports them to the Director of Wellness

• Reporting incidents / near misses, illness or problems with residents to the Director of Wellness / General Manager
• Providing guidance to the Guest Attendants to ensure that care assignments are completed and that changes in residents’ needs are reported to the Director of Wellness
• Maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents utilizing infection control principles
• Performing other duties as assigned

What You Need To Know

• Successful completion of Personal Service Worker certificate program
• Successful completion of Medication Administration training program provided on site and successful ongoing quarterly evaluation of competencies
• Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team
• Current CPR training
• Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process
• All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
