Job summary

Aspira Cedar Crossing by Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Part-time Unregulated Care Provider for nights. You will deliver compassionate care to residents, support health, safety and daily living activities, and help maintain a safe environment.

The role requires completion of Personal Service Worker certificate, Medication Administration training, CPR, and a Vulnerable Sector Check. Schedule is 32 hours bi-weekly, 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Personal Service Worker certificate program.
• Successful completion of Medication Administration training program provided on site and quarterly evaluation of competencies.
• Current CPR training.
• All applicants must successfully pass the Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit.
• Experience working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care that supports residents’ health, safety and well-being.
• Maintain resident records and required documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Administer medications as prescribed and observe changes in condition.
• Report incidents, illnesses or changes in residents to the Director of Wellness/General Manager.
• Ensure a clean, safe environment using infection control principles.

• Maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents utilizing infection control principles


• Performing other duties as assigned

What you need to know:

• Successful completion of Personal Service Worker certificate program


• Successful completion of Medication Administration training program provided on site and successful ongoing quarterly evaluation of competencies


• Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team


• Current CPR training


• Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process


• All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check


• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit


• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
