Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences in Ontario is seeking an Unregulated Care Aide to provide personal care, support, and daily living assistance to our residents, helping them live safely, with dignity, and at home.

You will work with a caring team, follow individual care plans, and maintain high hygiene and safety standards while responding to resident needs and family concerns. Training in care fields is preferred, and flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care, laundry, food service, or support services.
• Secondary school education; post‑secondary training in a care field preferred.
• Ability to read, follow, and communicate instructions effectively.
• Demonstrated empathy, patience, and understanding of seniors’ needs.
• Maintain high hygiene standards, work safely with equipment, and manage time well.

• Respond to resident and family concerns and report to the Health and Wellness Manager when needed

• Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items
• Preparedness to respond to emergency situations
