First Nations University of Canada invites applications for an Internal Sessional Instructor for INSW 321 S01 in Winter 2027. The instructor will teach the course content within university guidelines, monitor forums, prepare outlines and exams, and provide academic counselling.

This unionized position falls under the SASM unit; preference may be given to applicants who can speak a First Nations language and who have cross-cultural experience. On-site delivery in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with at least 5 years of work experience.
• Experience teaching in a post-secondary environment.
• Remedial language teaching experience is an asset.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail and academic reporting requirements.
• Experience working in a cross-cultural environment; ability to speak a First Nations language is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Teach the course content within university guidelines.
• Monitor and facilitate class discussions and assign grades.
• Prepare course outlines and final exams.
• Provide academic counselling to students.
• Invigilate, grade and submit mid-term and final exams and papers.
• Support students with homework and exam preparation.
• Consult with Department Heads on academic matters.
• Perform other duties as per the Collective Agreement.
