Hydro One Co-op Opportunity - Toronto (Temporary, 12 Months)

Role: Reporting to the Sr Programs Process Specialists/Supervisors, the coop students in the Portfolio Reporting & Analysis team will support program and project managers by:

1. Running and analyzing life-to-date cost reports
2. Developing and updating reports using Excel (pivot tables) and SAP
3. Assisting with developing and uploading project forecasts
4. Compiling explanations for variance to budget
5. Preparing journals
6. Managing the status of cost objects in SAP
7. Data reconciliation, support, and updating data in tracking systems and SAP
8. Assisting in resource management and capacity planning
9. Creating resource requirements and reports for projects
10. Supporting system upgrades and reconfigurations through User Acceptance Testing
11. Preparing reports on equipment in-service and insurance claims
12. Producing admin cost reports and forecasts
13. Documenting data and actions during portfolio review meetings
14. Supporting other department initiatives and ad-hoc reporting requests

Learning Opportunities: During their term, students will learn technical skills such as:

• Using SAP (Controlling module, Project Systems, Plant Maintenance, etc.)
• Advanced Excel functions, macros, and Visual Basic
• Project management principles
• Management accounting, financial, and data analysis skills

Job Requirements:

• Enrolled in 3rd year of Business/Commerce, Finance/Accounting, Engineering/Computer Science, or Mathematics
