University Co-Op Student- Portfolio Reporting & Analysis-12 Months - Fall 2025

Reporting to the Sr Programs Process Specialists/Supervisors, the primary duties of the coop student in the Portfolio Reporting team will be to support program & project managers by:

1. Updating and maintaining information for month-end portfolio reports
2. Developing and updating reports using Excel (pivot tables), Power BI, and SAP as required
3. Compiling explanations for variances to budget
4. Updating project manager assignments in SAP
5. Supporting data reconciliation and updating data in tracking systems and SAP
6. Requesting resources and creating reports for outstanding requests
7. Assisting in User Acceptance Testing for system upgrades/reconfigurations
8. Preparing reports of in-service additions, capital expenditures, and risks/opportunities
9. Documenting data and actions/minutes during portfolio review meetings
10. Supporting other department initiatives, ad-hoc requests, and additional reporting as assigned

During their term, students can expect to learn technical skills such as:

1. Using SAP (mainly Controlling module, Project Systems, Plant Maintenance, Accounts Payable)
2. Advanced Excel (functions, pivot tables, macros, Visual Basic)
3. Power BI
4. Project Management (planning, scheduling, control, reporting)
5. Financial and data analysis skills
6. Attending portfolio review meetings and documenting data

Job Requirements:

• Academic Level: 3rd year in Business/Commerce, Finance/Accounting, Engineering/Computer Science, or Mathematics
• Enrolled in post-secondary studies with plans to return full-time after the work term (exceptions for graduation requirements)
• Applicants must have proper work permits and a Social Insurance Number (SIN) if international students
