Oak Valley Health is seeking an organized Unit Secretary to support the Inpatient Mental Health clerical team. You will handle reception, phone inquiries, admissions liaison, and medical records tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires hospital unit secretary experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, typing speed of 45 wpm, and familiarity with Meditech. Experience with clinical scheduling tools is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Recent Unit Secretary experience in a hospital setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with 45 wpm typing speed.
  • Experience with Meditech and Community Wide Scheduling is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Reception duties and telephone communication.
  • Liaise with bed allocating for admissions and registrations.
  • Process patient orders through computer.
  • Arrange meetings and appointments; typing/filing patient reports/letters.
  • Process patient charts and restock new charts; prepare materials for Health Records.
  • Prepare and typing of patient program pamphlets and related materials.
