We are looking for a Unit Manager, Learning and Development to join BrokerLink, and work out of our Ontario or Atlantic Regions. On a Permanent (FT) Basis.

What the Role Entails:

  • Responsible for employees facilitating training in systems, products, side by side training at branch, customer service, sales, and other various training needs to new and existing staff.
  • Enhance training programs, implement KPIs and look for opportunities to grow and evolve the department.
  • Liaising and collaborating with other training professionals, Managers, Human Resources, Finance, and IT to develop and offer training as required and build positive relationships at every opportunity.
  • Participation in developing and implementing training programs. Overseeing trainers, instructors, and course creators as assigned.
  • Participates in the creation and delivery of courses when needed.
  • Collaborating effectively with other departments to exchange ideas, information and experience.
  • Oversite of employees in application, issuing, and maintaining records of CE Accredited courses.
  • Maintaining existing training materials, supplies and equipment. Maintaining records on

completed training programs.

  • Facilitating growth and development of assigned employees.

The Successful candidate will have:

  • Adult Education Training or Certification Preferred
  • Insurance License is Required
  • 5 years of Insurance experience
  • One year of management experience an asset
  • Strong Critical and Solution based thinking skills
  • High degree of professionalism, diplomacy and integrity
  • Excellent customer service skills and adept in conflict resolution
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure and deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain a successful team and partnerships
