Job summary

ACIL AgeCare Investments Ltd is seeking a Nursing Unit Clerk in AgeCare Dawson to coordinate daily nursing staff staffing and maintain scheduling for a safe, secure, resident-focused environment.

You will support the Nursing Department by coordinating call-in replacements, updating the Master Schedule, and communicating attendance trends to leadership. This role requires 1–3 years in a similar role and a Grade 12 diploma, with post-secondary education considered an asset.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of previous experience in a similar position.
• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Medical/Office Assistant) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily staffing for the Nursing Department, including call-in replacements.
• Maintain Master Schedule and daily staffing compliments.
• Obtain overtime approvals from the Director of Care and monitor attendance/absenteeism.

The Opportunity: This Nursing Unit Clerk is responsible for coordinating the daily staffing of the Nursing Department. This role assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and other staff members.

What Is In It For You

• Assists in the coordination of staffing and scheduling needs for the Nursing Department including replacement of staff on a daily "call in" basis and updating staffing changes on the Master Schedule and daily compliments.
• Obtains approval for overtime work from the Director of Care.
• Maintains attendance/absenteeism reports and communicates any recurrent absenteeism to the Director of Care.

What You Will Need

1 – 3 years of previous experience working in a similar position. Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. Post secondary education in a related field (e.g., Medical/Office Assistant) is considered an asset.
