Position Details

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Manager, Long Haul Trucking, the Underwriting Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the underwriting team.

• Ensure all policies are issued within service standards with the appropriate wordings, schedules, and certificates attached.
• Verification of insurance certificates issued by our brokers.
• Communicate directly with brokers to track current quote requests.
• Assist underwriters with the pre‑selection of quotes and summarize basic exposures.
• Completion of worksheets.
• Gather and review information for monthly activity reports.
• Review, prepare, create, request and send incoming and outgoing mail, reports and forms.
• Other assigned duties, including managing the team's inbox.
