Job description

We are on the lookout for a RIBO licensed Personal Lines Underwriter who can evaluate insurance applicants and guide clients on the best course of action for each level of risk. You'll be an integral part of our team, collaborating closely with our dedicated producers who engage directly with our clients.

Responsibilities :

• Analyze applicants' data
• Evaluate, classify, and rate each risk to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing
• Recognizes and acquires supplementary information necessary for thorough risk analysis
• Keeping up on industry knowledge (Products and Software).
• Evaluate software-based recommendations
• Research applicants as necessary
• Authorize transmittal of documents to brokers and markets as required
• Prepares and maintains periodic reports pertinent to the ongoing operation
• Provides advice and expertise on underwriting issues

Qualifications :

• Have superior verbal and written skills
• Be an analytical thinker
• RIBO License
• 1 years underwriting experience
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Professional telephone manner
• Develops and maintains productive working relationships with peers, clients, and industry networks
• Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment
