Job summary

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Miner 2 – Production Blaster to join our McIlvenna Bay underground team on a 14/14 rotation. This full-time role covers planning, preparing and executing blasting activities while ensuring safe handling of explosives and compliance with regulations.

You will design blasts with mine engineers, maintain equipment and records, coordinate with management and crews, and contribute to ore recovery with emphasis on safety and environmental

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years in an underground mining environment.
• Ability to obtain blasting certification or license per regs.
• Extensive blasting experience in underground mining.
• Knowledge of explosive handling, storage and safety.
• Safety-conscious with environmental compliance.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Physical fitness for underground work.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and environmental regulations for explosives.
• Plan and design blasts with mine engineers to optimize ore recovery.
• Safely handle, transport, and store explosives per regulations.
• Maintain explosives inventory and related materials.
• Oversee drilling, charging, and blast initiation.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and inspections completed.
• Set up and initiate blasts using appropriate systems.
• Monitor blasts and address issues promptly.
• Maintain records of blasting activities.
• Report progress to supervisors and communicate with teams.
• Implement measures to minimize environmental impact.
