Job summary

Coeur Mining's Rainy River operation seeks an Underground Operations Engineer to support the mining team, coordinating underground work and ensuring safe, efficient execution of the short-term mine plan.

The role collaborates with technical services and mine operations, contributing to automation initiatives, QA/QC programs, and KPI reporting, with a camp-based schedule and field inspections consistent with company standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in underground mining operations.
• Strong communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of short-term mine plan.
• Coordinate weekly underground tasks (backfill, ground support, rehab).
• Provide daily updates in morning meetings on planning activities.
• Coordinate with mine operations and technical services teams on priorities.
• Support underground projects including automation and Deswik OPS implementation.
• Collect KPI data and prepare reports to improve safety and efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement programs and evaluate costs.
• Assist in implementing underground standards and QA/QC programs.
• Provide coverage for General Supervisor when needed.
