Job summary

Cameco is seeking an experienced Mine Surveyor to accurately mark up survey data for development, production, drilling, and cavity monitoring activities. The role involves independent field work, coordinating with mine teams, and maintaining quality assurance through QA/QC processes.

The successful candidate will have a mining-related technical certificate or diploma, at least two years of underground surveying experience, and proficiency with GPS, Total Stations, and 3D drafting tools.

Qualifications

• Technical certificate or diploma in mining or related field.
• Minimum of two years of underground mine surveying experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
• Proficiency with survey equipment and software such as GPS and Total Stations.
• Experience performing and processing stope and cavity laser scans.
• MS Office proficiency and experience with 3D drafting software (Deswik/Vulcan/AutoCAD) and ability to rotate schedules and commute by aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently perform survey mark-ups based on approved designs for mining activities.
• Conduct month-end surveys and issue month-end survey reports.
• Coordinate field survey work with mine technical services and operations.
• Review and update standard procedures and work instructions as required.
• Provide guidance and mentorship within the mine technician group.
