Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is building a mining operations team in Alberta, Canada. The role focuses on general duties to support mining activity, with hands-on training in heavy equipment and underground operations. Qualifications

• Underground mining experience is an asset.
• Heavy Equipment or Haul Truck experience in a mine site is an asset.
• Mechanical aptitude and equipment awareness is an asset.
• Pre-employment checks and age verification are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general duties in support of mining operations, including cleanup of material spills and housekeeping to company standards.
• Train to safely support other mine team members, including mechanics, crusher operators, rail loaders and mine equipment operators.
• Safely operate small equipment, rigid frame haul trucks, articulated haul trucks, wheel loaders, and underground scoop trams.
• Follow all standard procedures including vehicle inspections, reporting of deficiencies, fueling, greasing, vehicle segregation and traffic controls.
