Alamos Gold Inc. Young-Davidson is currently recruiting for the following challenging position to join our operations team:

Underground Millwright / Pump Technician

Alamos Gold’s Young-Davidson is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines, located near Matachewan, Ontario. The 2020 completion of a highly automated, lower mine expansion has resulted in increased production and strong free cash flow. With a large Mineral Reserve base, it will serve as Alamos’ foundation for growth for many years to come. We are searching for highly motivated and committed individuals to join our team!

Responsibilities:

• Install, align, and move stationary industrial machinery, such as hoisting plants, pumps, fans, tanks, and conveyors.
• Read, understand, and interpret prints.
• Maintain maintenance systems in the underground processes.
• Inspect equipment for proper performance and determine faults and malfunctions.
• Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective components.
• Other duties assigned by the Underground Maintenance Supervisor as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

• Holder of Provincial Industrial Millwright Journeyman Trade Certificate License is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintaining gold mining plants is preferred.
• Basic Underground Common Core is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong safety focus.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work alone.

Schedule: 5/5/4 (days and nights), 12-hour shifts.
