Heidelberg Materials Canada is seeking a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair heavy equipment across surface and underground operations in Alberta. The role requires diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and performing preventive maintenance.

The position offers a competitive wage of 57.76 CAD per hour, unionized environment, and long-term employment with training and advancement opportunities. Transportation from Hinton to site is provided.

Qualificações

• Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification with strong equipment repair capability.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and hydraulic issues.
• Working knowledge of mobile and stationary equipment systems, including crushing and conveying.
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to adapt and perform effectively in a fast-paced industrial and underground environment.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, maintain, and repair heavy mobile equipment including loaders, haul trucks, and support equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues efficiently
• Perform maintenance and repairs on stationary equipment such as conveyors, crushers, and processing systems
• Complete preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure equipment availability in both surface and underground operations
