Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. Seabee Gold Operation is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to design, implement, and maintain our SHEMS program across Seabee operations.

The role focuses on underground safety and risk management, mentoring site supervisors, and upholding our core H&S values. Reporting to the Safety Superintendent, you will lead safety training, enforce compliance with policies, and foster a proactive safety culture at the remote camp in northern Saskatchewan with a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off

Qualifications

• Demonstrated drive and passion for health & safety in the workplace.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment systems is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive and proactive attitude towards safety is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop, administer and maintain safety policies and procedures.
• Support all SHEMS activities across Seabee operations.
• Coordinate inspections to ensure compliance with H&S requirements and follow up on non-compliance.
• Ensure WCB items are addressed per applicable laws.
• Input data as directed by Safety Superintendent.
• Participate in site emergency response program, instructor level preferred.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the department.
