Job summary

Alamos Gold Inc. Island Gold District in Dubreuilville, ON is seeking an Underground Certified Electrician. Join a team operating at a long-life mine with a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule, where safety and reliability matter.

Responsibilities include reading prints, wiring, troubleshooting PLCs, HV installations, and providing accurate records. We offer travel allowances, meals and accommodation, and competitive compensation based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

  • Must be an Ontario Licensed Electrician.
  • 3-4 years experience in similar functions.
  • Basic knowledge in mechanic and electricity.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Work on new installation, troubleshoot and repairs as required.
  • Read, understand, and interpret prints and electrical codes.
  • Work with soft start and variable speed drives.
  • Inspects equipment & repair/replace defective parts/components or systems according to scopes of work.
  • Identify additional repairs, compile parts and labor estimates and communicate to supervisor.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems including electrical mobile equipment, power distribution, leaky feeder, PLC, motor controls and any other work as assigned.
  • Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, parts listings and submit drawing revisions.
  • Work on High Voltage installations of sub-stations.
  • Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives

UNDERGROUND CERTIFIED ELECTRICIAN - Island Gold District

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work on new installation, troubleshoot and repairs as required

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must be an Ontario Licensed Electrician
  • 3-4 years experience in similar functions
  • Basic knowledge in mechanic and electricity

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Available to work fluctuating schedules

Working conditions:

  • 7 days on / 7 days off schedule
  • A travel allowance is provided and varies based on distance from the mine site in Dubreuilville, Ontario
  • Meals and accommodation provided while working at site
  • Pay or shift range: $45.60 CADto $58.57 CAD

The compensation range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
