Job summary

IAMGOLD is seeking an Electrician for the Côté Gold Mine in Canada. The role focuses on safely maintaining, installing, and repairing electrical power and control systems across mining and milling operations. Collaboration with the team is essential to support the integrated plan and schedule.

Required are a high school diploma, 4+ years of related experience, and preferably an Ontario electrical license. Open pit mining and HV equipment experience are assets.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ontario Provincial or Inter-Provincial Electrical License is preferred.
• Apprentices may be considered in accordance with requirements.
• A minimum of four years of related work experience in mining or industrial settings.
• Open pit mining or mineral processing experience is an asset.
• Experience with medium and high voltage equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safely install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power and control systems across mining and milling operations.
• Maintain, repair, test, and install motors, VFDs, panels, breakers, and control systems.
• Maintain and test switchgear, transformers, and MCCs.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, and applicable electrical codes.
• Install and repair cables, conduits, cable trays, and related systems.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment for continuity, voltage, current, and resistance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document work using CMMS.
• Diagnose issues, anticipate failures, and recommend solutions.
