Exciting Opportunity: Underground Electrician (Bradshaw Mine, Timmins, ON)

Dumas is a leading full-service underground mining contractor providing services to clients throughout the Americas. We specialize in mine construction, mine development, production mining, mine services, and engineering.

Responsibilities

1. Thorough knowledge of all safety, health, and environmental regulations as they pertain to the work and workplace.
2. Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
3. Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
4. Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
5. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and related devices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Ontario Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Modules.
2. Ontario Hardrock Mining Supervisory Common Core or equivalent experience.
3. Electrical Red Seal Journeyman certification.
4. At least 5 years of underground electrical experience.
5. Outstanding safety record.
