Job summary

Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. seeks an Underground Development Scoop Operator for the Red Chris Mine in northern British Columbia. FIFO rotation is 14 on/14 off, reporting to the Shift Supervisor to maximize productivity and safety.

You will operate loading equipment in underground development, perform cleanups, load trucks, and support the mining advance while following PPE rules and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4-5 years underground mining experience.
• Sandvik LH621 loader experience is an asset.
• Valid driver's license; manual transmission an asset.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and PPE rules.
• Work independently and in a fast-paced, cross-cultural team.

Responsibilities

• Operate underground loading unit at the Red Chris Mine.
• Muck development headings and stockpiles.
• Development face clean ups for jumbo face drilling.
• Load trucks and maintain clear work areas.
• Install, modify and repair UG infrastructures as needed.
• Document shift reports and report issues to the Shift Supervisor.
• Support safety and mining progression through pre-checks and equipment checks.
