Job summary

Firma Contracting Inc. is seeking an accomplished Civil Project Manager to lead underground infrastructure projects in Edmonton and the surrounding area.

You will own projects through estimating, tendering, construction, financial management and closeout, balancing commercial, operational and technical needs. You will ensure robust estimates, accurate drawings interpretation, realistic plans and proactive risk management, working with field leadership to keep schedules moving and maintaining

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience within civil construction.
• Experience managing water and sewer infrastructure projects.
• Strong estimating, tendering and bid submissions experience.
• Ability to read civil drawings and perform quantity take-offs.
• Experience with project budgeting, cost control and financial reporting.
• Proven leadership and effective communication with clients, consultants and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead underground infrastructure projects from planning through turnover.
• Develop execution plans, schedules and milestones with operations.
• Prepare detailed estimates for civil construction work.
• Prepare tender packages based on drawings, specs and contracts.
• Verify quantity take-offs for underground scopes.
• Review tender documents to understand scope and risks.
• Manage budgets and monitor financial performance during construction.
• Track costs against forecasts and maintain project dashboards.
• Coordinate resources across labour, equipment and subcontractors.
• Maintain safety, quality and environmental compliance.
