Job summary

West Red Lake Gold Mines is seeking an experienced underground blaster in Ontario, Canada, to join the initial team on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off schedule. The role centers on safe explosive handling, loading blast holes, and ensuring accurate blast patterns for the Red Lake Madsen Mine team.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of underground blasting experience, and certification in the common core program. Valid driver’s license and a strong safety record are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of underground blasting experience.
• Certified in the common core program is required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe working practices and site safety guidelines.
• Handle explosives and load blast holes per layouts and standards.
• Conduct site safety inspections.
• Handle, store and transport explosives and accessories.
• Other duties as assigned.
