Reporting to the Underground Mine Supervisor, the successful candidate will work a 14 & 14 rotation and be responsible for operating equipment and managing materials within their assigned work areas. The role involves performing a variety of duties that contribute to the underground mining cycle while adhering to safe work procedures and supporting production, operational, and safety targets.
The Miner 2 position offers a competitive base hourly rate of $75.68, with the opportunity to earn up to an additional $50.00 per hour through a production bonus program, for a total earning potential of $125.68 per hour.
Miner 2 – (Bolter, Jumbo / MacLean) is responsible for supporting underground mine development through the safe and efficient operation of jumbo drills and MacLean bolting equipment. Working as part of the underground mining team, the incumbent performs drilling, ground support installation, workplace inspections, and hazard identification while contributing to the development mining cycle. The role requires a strong commitment to safe production, adherence to mine plans and engineering specifications, and a focus on achieving development and production targets at the Madsen Mine.
