WELL Health Diagnostic Centres in Ontario is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform general ultrasound examinations (MSK, abdomen, pelvis, breast, thyroid) on diverse equipment. You will ensure patient safety, document findings, and maintain quality control while collaborating with a large team of healthcare professionals.

Required are CMRTO certification and CPR, with vascular/MSK/OB experience considered an asset.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of related experience.
• CMRTO certification.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Vascular, MSK & OB experience is an asset.
• Ability to perform all types of ultrasound procedures on various types of ultrasound equipment.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
• Demonstrate effective decision-making skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Greet patient, explain forthcoming test, position patient, and prepare him/her for examination.
• Observe patient during the diagnostic procedure, noting symptoms or changes in vital signs and summon medical aid when necessary.
• Ensure quality control assessments are performed and follow related policies and safety regulations.
• Maintain equipment and instrument functionality, and perform routine maintenance as required.
• Prepare and organize reports as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety, and preparation are correct prior to a scan while maintaining patient confidentiality.

• Ensure all quality control assessments are performed as required. Takes all reasonable precautions and work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
• Follow procedures for proper equipment maintenance are completed in accordance with department standards.
• Ensure equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner.
• Prepare and organize reports as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

This role is for an existing vacancy. The expected hiring range for this role is from $40 - $43 per hour. Final compensation is determined based on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience level, and internal equity. Candidates with significantly more experience may be considered at a higher level with adjusted compensation for certain roles.
