Job summary

WELL Health Diagnostic Centres is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist to perform general ultrasound exams across MSK, abdomen, pelvis, breast and thyroid. You will ensure patient safety, prepare and position patients, and document findings.

The role supports flexible opportunity types and relocation/sign-on options in Canada. Ideal candidates hold CMRITO certification with 0–2 years’ experience and show strong organizational and communication skills, with MRI?

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of related experience.
• CMRITO certification is required.
• Experience in vascular, MSK or OB is an asset.
• Ability to perform all ultrasound procedures on various equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform all types of general ultrasound examinations on MSK, abdomen, pelvis, breast, thyroid.
• Ensure patient identification, safety, and preparation prior to scanning.
• Explain procedures, position patients, and monitor during tests.
• Maintain quality control and equipment upkeep per policies.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and preparation are correct prior to scanning while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Greet patient, explain forthcoming test, position patient and prepare him/her for examination.
• Observe patient during the diagnostic procedure, making note of any symptoms or changes in vital signs and summon medical aid when necessary.
• Ensure all quality control assessments are performed as required. Take all reasonable precautions and work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Follow procedures for proper equipment maintenance in accordance with department standards.
• Ensure equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner.
• Prepare and organize reports as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

• 0-2 years of related experience.
• Candidates must have CMRITO certification.
• Vascular, MSK & OB experience is an asset.
• Ability to perform all types of ultrasound procedures on various types of ultrasound equipment.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
• Demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

This role is for an existing vacancy. The expected hiring range for this role is from $xyz - $xyz per hour. Final compensation is determined based based on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience level, and internal equity. Candidates with significantly more experience may be considered at a higher level with adjusted compensation for certain roles.
